A native of Augusta, GA, she graduated cum laude from Furman University and completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where she served as Wellness Chair and Diversity and Inclusion Representative. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received multiple awards including the Wallace D. Mays Intern of the Year Award.
