Our Physicians

Dr. William E. Barfield, Jr.

M.D., FACOG

William E. Barfield, Jr., MD, has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 55 years. A native of Augusta, Georgia, he graduated from The Citadel before earning his medical degree and completing his residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Barfield joined the practice in 1976 and has since delivered more than 10,000 babies. While his legacy is rooted in obstetrics, he now focuses his clinical practice on gynecologic exams, surgical procedures, and infertility, with a specialized interest in hormonal management. A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Barfield is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and served as the Chairman of the OBGYN Department at University Hospital for 25 years and president of this group for 30 years.

Dr. Lucy Brantley

M.D., FACOG

Dr. Lucy Brantley joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2020. A Georgia native, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Georgia before completing both her medical degree and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Dr. Brantley values patient education and shared decision-making. She is passionate about taking care of women in all stages of life. Her special interests include general obstetrics and minimally invasive approaches to gynecologic surgery, including urinary incontinence procedures, pelvic floor disorders, and daVinci robotics.

Dr. D. Scott Burns

M.D., FACOG

Dr. Burns joined the practice in 2003 after completing his four-year residency in OB-GYN at the Medical College of Georgia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. He attended Penn State College of Medicine and Haverford College, where he studied religion and philosophy. Before medical school, Dr. Burns worked for six years in corporate finance in New York City and Los Angeles.

Dr. Kathy Chance

M.D., FACOG

Dr. Kathy Chance has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 30 years. A native of Athens, Georgia, she graduated from the University of Georgia and earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she also completed her residency. Dr. Chance joined the practice in 1995 and has served in numerous leadership roles, including a recent term as President of OBGYN Partners of Augusta. Her specialized interests include hormone replacement therapy, preventive medicine, and evidence-based wellness. She is highly experienced in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including da Vinci robotic procedures, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Dalal Eldick

M.D., FACOG

Dalal Eldick, M.D. FACOG joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2018. A South Florida native, she graduated valedictorian from high school and attended the University of Miami, where she majored in Neuroscience, before completing her OB-GYN residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Health System. She has a special interest in general and high-risk pregnancy, as well as minimally invasive gynecology, and is well-versed in robotic, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and other surgical technologies.

Dr. Taylor Jones

M.D., FACOG

Taylor Mitchell Jones, MD, joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2023. A native of Augusta, GA, she graduated cum laude from Furman University and completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, where she served as Wellness Chair and Diversity and Inclusion Representative. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received multiple awards including the Wallace D. Mays Intern of the Year Award. Her special interests include adolescent health care, general and high-risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Dr. John P. McDonough

M.D., FACOG

Dr. John McDonough joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2006. He graduated from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at George Washington University, where he served as Chief Administrative Resident. He also practiced at Annapolis OB-GYN in Maryland before returning to Augusta. His areas of interest include minimally invasive surgery including da Vinci Robotic surgery, operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and general obstetric care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Michel M. McDonough

M.D., FACOG

Dr. Michel McDonough has been caring for women since beginning his practice in 1995. A board-certified gynecologist, he now focuses exclusively on gynecology, dedicating his full attention to minimally invasive and robotic surgery, menopause management, and preventive well-woman care. He is actively involved in medical education, working closely with OB-GYN residents to help train the next generation of physicians. He was honored to receive the Watson Award in recognition of his dedication to patient care, teaching, and professional excellence.

Dr. Jennifer Morgan

M.D., FACOG

Dr. Jennifer Morgan has been providing care to women in the CSRA since 1999. She grew up in Covington, GA, and received her chemistry degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received the Alpha Omega Alpha honor at the Medical College of Georgia, awarded to the top 5% of graduates, and served as administrative chief resident. Dr. Morgan provides the full spectrum of gynecological care including contraception, infertility, hormonal therapy, and surgical needs, with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Carla Morgan-Gibbs

M.D., FACOG

Carla Morgan-Gibbs, M.D. is a graduate of East Carolina University and earned her Doctor of Medicine from East Carolina University School of Medicine, completing her residency at Duke University Medical Center. She has been in private practice in the Augusta area for over 35 years. Special interests include adolescent gynecology, infertility, menopausal management, women’s wellness, and preventative care. Dr. Morgan-Gibbs is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Kelly P. Norman

M.D., FACOG

Kelly P. Norman, M.D., joined the practice in 2006. A native of Augusta, GA, she graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Medical College of Georgia, completing her OB-GYN residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Norman provides gynecologic care for women in all phases of life, with an interest in contraception, fertility, and endocrine effects on the menstrual cycle. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Samantha Osteen-Forys

M.D., FACOG

Augusta native Dr. Samantha Osteen-Forys graduated from Westminster Schools of Augusta before earning degrees from Georgia Tech, Georgia State University (M.S. in Biology, Molecular Genetics, and Biochemistry), and Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is the recipient of the 2021 President’s Certificate award at the CAOG Annual Meeting and has been published in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Special interests include general and high-risk obstetrics, preconception counseling, adolescent gynecology, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, fibroids, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. JulieAnn Parker

M.D., FACOG

JulieAnn Parker, M.D., has been with OBGYN Partners of Augusta since 2010. She holds an undergraduate degree from Samford University and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, where she also completed her residency and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Parker volunteers as the Director of Ultrasound Services for Hope Women’s Center. She co-authored a case report published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2025. Her special interests include adolescent gynecology, contraception, obstetrics, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Tania Serrano

M.D., F.A.C.O.G., A.B.A.A.R.M., NCMP

Dr. Tania Serrano is a board-certified OB-GYN with advanced board certification in anti-aging medicine through George Washington University and recognition as a Certified Menopause Practitioner by The Menopause Society. She earned her medical degree from Howard University and completed training at New York Medical College and Texas Tech Health Science Center. Dr. Serrano specializes in personalized hormone therapy, evidence-based lifestyle interventions, and targeted nutritional support, with a clinical focus on healthy aging and functional restoration

Dr. Shauna Summers

M.D.

Dr. Shauna Summers is a board-eligible obstetrician and gynecologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based, patient-centered care. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where she was selected as Chief Resident. Special interests include preconception counseling, contraception care, obstetric care, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic-assisted procedures. Dr. Summers is proud to serve the Augusta community, which she now calls home.

Dr. Lindsey Tingen

M.D., FACOG

Lindsey Tingen, MD, joined OBGYN Partners of Augusta in 2022. Originally from Marietta, GA, she completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, then completed her OB-GYN residency at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Special interests include general and high-risk pregnancy care, contraception management, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
