Monitoring hemoglobin is especially important during pregnancy and routine women’s health visits to help ensure your body is getting enough oxygen and nutrients.
Why do we stop checking hemoglobin at 65 years old?
Routine hemoglobin screening may no longer be necessary after age 65 unless you are experiencing symptoms, have certain medical conditions, or your provider feels additional monitoring is needed.
